I was born a reared in Dunsandle Grove next to Pecks Lane in Castleknock. I attended St Brigid’s National School in Beechpark and Castleknock College at secondary level. I studied international politics in the American College Dublin and received a Masters degree in political science and peace studies from Trinity College. I currently live in Porterstown. I worked in the family clothing business as a sales rep from 2010 to 2013. Before that I worked in recruitment, media and the ESB. I was elected to the Castleknock Ward of Fingal Co Council in May 2014. In June I was elected Deputy Mayor of Fingal Co Council by my fellow Councillors. I have also been appointed to the Transportation Strategic Policy Committee (SPC), Blanchardstown Drugs Task Force, Local Traveller Accommodation Board, Liffey Valley Advisory Group and the Fingal Culture and Heritage Board.
Equality of opportunity, Enterprise and Reward, fiscal prudence, compassion and fairness are central pillars of my political principles. I believe that a competently run economy with sustainable public finances is the best way to ensure that we can permanently care for the more vulnerable in society. Jobs, education, home ownership and financial independence are the key to getting people permanently out of poverty. I am committed to working with local and national government to grow jobs in our community particular by reducing the cost in the SME sector.
As a local Councillor I serve on the following boards.
